As employment becomes more fluid, there are an increasing number of cases in which key personnel take trade secrets with them when they leave the company and use them at a rival company, resulting in significant losses. We have invited lawyer Kyosuke Kaneko, who has experience representing the victim company in a case in which a prison sentence was given for a former employee taking trade secrets overseas, to be the lecturer and have held a total of five live seminars and webinars on emergency response since 2023. There has been a great deal of interest, with hundreds of people participating each time, but we have also received many requests for an explanation of preventive measures in advance.
