[Online Seminar Held on April 4th] Former JFTC Investigator on the Current State of the Leniency Program - The Role of Digital Forensics and Effective Practical Solutions

The leniency system established by the Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) has been gradually increasing in use since the introduction of the investigation cooperation deduction system in the 2019 amendment, and the utilization rate of the leniency system in cases where administrative sanctions were imposed for cartels and other offenses is also high. Attorney Naoki Uemura, who has experience in investigation work as a former JFTC investigator, will explain the current status of the leniency system's utilization and important practical points when utilizing the leniency system. In addition, he will explain effective and efficient investigation methods for digital forensic investigations, which are necessary from the early stages when utilizing the leniency system, together with FRONTEO.
