FRONTEO Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Masahiro Morimoto, hereafter FRONTEO) and Medical Care Service Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture, President: Norio Yamamoto, hereafter MCS) We are pleased to announce that we have started the final verification test for the implementation of a fall / fall prediction AI system that utilizes long-term care records in the dementia-responsive communal living care (group home) operated by MCS.

MCS is a group company of Gakken Holdings Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, President: Hiroaki Miyahara, hereinafter Gakken HD), including 286 group homes, small-scale multifunctional home care, and paid elderly with long-term care. We operate various facilities for the elderly such as homes. In addition, we are promoting DX (digital transformation) in the field of long-term care, and digitizing long-term care to improve the productivity of long-term care sites and the quality of care, such as by utilizing ICT such as digital long-term care recording systems and long-term care robots. We are proceeding with.

FRONTEO and MCS are aiming to solve the fall prevention, which is one of the important issues in elderly care, and the risk of falls of residents by analyzing the care records of the "Coroban" fall prediction AI system for medical institutions. We have verified the prediction accuracy. In the future, we plan to aim for full-scale introduction after the final verification test at the facility.

Falling / falling of the elderly may lead to death as well as the need for long-term care / bedridden condition and the progression of dementia.Furthermore, in long-term care facilities, it is extremely important to prevent falls because the occurrence of falls may affect the relationship of trust between the facility and the resident's family. On the other hand, in facilities that are "places of living", excessive fall / fall prevention measures may lead to restrictions on the behavior of users, and in the field, it is possible to achieve both safety assurance and freedom of behavior and QOL maintenance for the elderly themselves. The reality is that I am having a hard time.

Through research and development of AI systems, FRONTEO will endeavor to provide solutions for solving problems in medical and long-term care sites, reducing the workload of staff, and improving the QOL of the elderly.
