Commitment to Respect Human Rights

The FRONTEO Group (the "FRONTEO Group") provides solutions to various social issues, including human rights issues, under its corporate philosophy of "Realizing fairness in the information society. As a company that aims to contribute to society through its business activities, we recognize that respect for human rights is an important social responsibility, and we have established the "FRONTEO Human Rights Policy" based on our belief that it is essential to respect the human rights of all stakeholders involved in our business activities.
By complying with this policy and promoting initiatives to respect human rights, we will contribute to the realization of a fair world where "no one is left behind.

Respect for International Norms

The FRONTEC Group understands and respects internationally recognized human rights, including the International Bill of Human Rights, the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work and the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights of the International Labor Organization (ILO), and fulfills its responsibilities as a corporation.

Scope of Application

This policy applies to all officers and employees of the Minebea Group. We also expect our business partners to support this policy and respect human rights.

Respect for Human Rights

The Group will not tolerate discrimination or disadvantageous treatment on the basis of race, religion, nationality, origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or other grounds of discrimination or harassment, and will provide equal opportunities to all persons in recruitment, evaluation, training, assignment, salary increase and promotion, and position advancement.

Education and Awareness

The Group shall regularly provide education on respect for human rights to its officers and employees in order to deepen their understanding of human rights and enhance their effectiveness.

Ongoing Implementation of Human Rights Due Diligence

The Group appropriately implements human rights due diligence in order to prevent and mitigate negative impacts of human rights through its business activities.

Human Rights Governance Structure

The Group's Risk Management Committee, consisting of directors and auditors including outside officers, regularly reviews the assessment of human rights risks and strives to prevent and mitigate such risks.

Information Disclosure

The Minebea Group will disclose information about its initiatives based on this policy through its website and other means.

Remedies and Corrections

In the event that the Group causes or contributes to human rights violations through its business activities, the Group will take appropriate measures to remedy such violations.

Commitment to Respect for Human Rights

The FRONTEO Group contributes to the realization of a fair world where people can encounter necessary and appropriate information and solve social issues in various fields by making full use of advanced information analysis technology utilizing our proprietary artificial intelligence (AI) engine "KIBIT".

In the AI solution business, we are developing systems that enable predictive detection of human rights issues such as abuse and bullying. We also provide solutions to detect various types of harassment, such as power harassment and sexual harassment.

In the area of supply chain analysis in the field of economic security, we provide solutions that can confirm connections with companies that may be involved in human rights violations, based on forced labor and unfair surveillance as represented by the UFLPA (Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act) and other laws.

Initiatives to Respect Human Rights

In order to prevent human rights violations, the Group has established internal and external contact points for whistleblowing, and protects whistleblowers from unfair personnel actions or other disadvantages. In addition, consultations and reports received at the contact points are reported to the Board of Corporate Auditors to ensure transparency and sincere efforts to solve problems.

Education and Awareness

Top management sends out messages to eradicate harassment and conducts annual human rights education and training on harassment for all officers and employees.

To monitor the workplace environment, the number of overtime hours is checked monthly to correct long working hours. In addition, stress checks are conducted once a year for all executives and employees.

Ongoing Implementation of Human Rights Due Diligence

Screening checks are conducted on our business partners on a regular basis every year, and if any concerns are identified, we consider discontinuing business with them.

Human Rights Governance Structure

Each year, we regularly interview relevant business units to identify risks, discuss the scope of their impact and the likelihood of their occurrence, and evaluate their materiality.

In addition, the Risk Management Committee, consisting of directors and auditors including outside officers, deliberates on the nature and assessment of risks and measures to prevent and mitigate them.
