Effective July 1, 2016, we changed our company name from UBIC Corporation to FRONTEO Corporation.
Immediately after its establishment, the Company, as "UBIC Corporation," has focused on the e-discovery business. In the fiscal year ended March 31, 2016, in addition to the acquisition of its second company in the United States, the main market for its e-discovery business, the Company (1) will leverage its proprietary technology developed through litigation support to develop business in growth In addition to the acquisition of a second company in the U.S., the core market for our e-discovery business, we also made major changes in our business, including (1) commercialization of business in growth areas by leveraging our proprietary technology developed through litigation support and (2) development of Kibiro, a humanoid robot equipped with the artificial intelligence engine KIBIT.
The change of trade name clearly indicates our intention to be a value-added company that creates "the future of people and society," and we will work together as a group to enhance our brand value and promote innovation on a global basis.

FRONTEO has the following six features.

1. We have our own AI engine, "KIBIT," and a development team and laboratory that are continuously working to improve its accuracy and efficiency.
2. By utilizing the AI review product "KIBIT Automator," FRONTEO is able to provide document review services several times faster than before, which has previously relied on manpower, and has significantly shortened the time and cost of discovery.
3. Provides a one-stop service that leverages technology and expertise to enable clients with limited discovery experience to prepare for data collection and provide AI compliance solutions after the fact.
4. Dedicated discovery cloud system in Japan with backup facilities (DR) to ensure data security.
5. Data preservation, analysis, and submission formatting can all be handled in Japan. We also have operational bases in Asia and on the East and West coasts of the U.S., enabling us to provide local support to local branches, subsidiaries, and law firms of global companies.
6. We have the facilities and data scientists to perform highly accurate analysis using AI not only in English, but also in Asian languages.

KIBIT (read: KIBIT) was developed in-house by FRONTEO as an AI engine that understands human subtleties by combining the Japanese word "KIBIT," which means subtle movements of the human mind using a mathematical approach, and "bit," which means the smallest unit of information.
With algorithms that enable advanced natural language processing or network analysis, the engine contributes to the efficiency and sophistication of operations and supports the judgment of experts in diverse areas such as international litigation, fraud investigation, intellectual property strategy, risk prediction, CX improvement, drug discovery, medical DX, medical devices, and supply chain analysis.
