[Online seminar co-hosted by Leo United Ginza Law Office and FRONTEO Co., Ltd.]
Security clearances, information management measures (physical and personnel measures), and use of forensics
A security clearance is one of the requirements necessary for a business to receive important economic and security information, and employees of a conforming business that handles important economic and security information are required to undergo a suitability assessment in advance.
When applying for security clearance, businesses are required to thoroughly implement information management measures (physical and personnel measures) in order to take necessary steps in relation to the investigation in the suitability assessment and to implement appropriate information security measures.
Furthermore, forensics is expected to be utilized in each specific situation where information management measures (physical and personnel measures) are taken.
In this seminar, we will provide an overview of security clearances and the Act on the Protection of Important Economic and Security Information, and then explain the seven investigation items in suitability assessments, the information management measures (physical and personnel measures) that businesses should take, and the use of forensics in security clearances, for each specific situation.
