[Webinar held on 3/12] Learning from court precedents: “Initial response and legal measures in cases of trade secrets taken out by retired employees”

[Co-hosted online seminar by Hokuto Sogo Law Office / FRONTEO Co., Ltd.]

As employment becomes more fluid, there are an increasing number of cases in which key personnel take trade secrets with them when they retire and use them at rival companies, resulting in significant losses. Although it is most important to prevent trade secrets from being taken out by taking secret management measures, it is not possible to completely prevent trade secrets from being taken out by retired employees. When it is discovered that trade secrets have been taken out, it is necessary to understand in advance what to do as an initial response and what legal measures can be taken.
In this seminar, we will invite attorney Kyosuke Kaneko, who has experience representing a victim company in a case where a retired employee was sentenced to prison for taking trade secrets out of the country, as a lecturer, and will introduce case law. , we will explain what you should do as an initial response and what legal measures you can take if it is discovered that a retired employee has taken trade secrets with you.
