Due to the impact of the revised Whistleblower Protection Act, which came into force in 2022, and the restart of global business in the after-corona world, many Japanese companies are considering and implementing measures to strengthen global compliance.On the other hand, the term "global compliance" has taken on a life of its own, and we are at a loss as to what should be done, with what priority, and what goals and indicators should be set in the first place.・We often hear that there is a lack of unity among departments.
　Therefore, in this study session, we invited Mr. Takinori Sato, a lawyer from AsiaWise Law Office, and Mr. Kohei Yamazaki, a representative certified public accountant from AsiaWise Accounting Office, to give an overview of recent laws and regulations concerning internal audits and whistleblowing. Above, while explaining the worst case in case of emergency and the points that will become problems in practice, we will talk about how to build a global compliance system.While exploring the reasons why emergency response and normal risk management do not work organically, we will explain effective preventive measures and countermeasures from the perspectives of lawyers and certified public accountants who are good at each.
