The surcharge operation system of the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Law that came into effect in August 3.It was introduced with the aim of promoting the establishment of a compliance system for business operators and minimizing the risk of health hazards. While there is a "reduction of the amount of surcharge due to the fact that the act subject to the surcharge is reported", there are cases where the reduction is not applied, such as when there is an "investigation of the act subject to the surcharge".Violations of the Act on Premiums and Misleading Representations may also occur due to unintentional mistakes by business operators.
