[August Webinar] Treatment of legal professional privilege between lawyers and clients under EU competition law

2021/8/17
[Online seminar co-sponsored by Van Bael & Bellis / FRONTEO to be held on Thursday, August 8]

"Legal professional privilege in EU competition law", which protects communications between lawyers and clients, differs not only from protection based on laws such as those in the United States, but also from protection in other legal areas within the European Union. The conditions are strict: what is at stake is not only the human rights of the client, but also the restrictions on the European Commission’s powers as investigating authority to collect evidence in competition law investigations. The points to note when claiming legal professional privilege in EU competition law investigations will be explained.
