[Held on May 5th!Economic Security Study Group] Supply chain risks from the Ukrainian issue and their alternatives
At the economic security study session in May, we invited Professor Toshiyuki Ito, a professor at the Kanazawa Institute of Technology Graduate School, who is known as an expert in security theory and crisis management and is active in various fields such as writing and lectures. We will discuss "Supply Chain Risks and Their Substitutability from the Viewpoint of the Ukrainian Problem".
The "Economic Security Promotion Bill" was passed and passed at the Upper House plenary session on May 5. It will be enforced in stages from 11.The bill consists of four pillars: (2023) strengthening the domestic construction of the supply network, (4) ensuring the safety of core infrastructure, (XNUMX) public-private cooperation in advanced technology, and (XNUMX) non-disclosure of patents. The response is based on the fierce US-China conflict, but in addition to this, we must consider the impact of economic sanctions on the Ukraine issue.Companies can no longer "know" and can't do it anymore, but on the other hand, these problems can be an "opportunity" to increase corporate value and review stable procurement routes by responding early. ..
In this study session, Professor Ito will introduce the latest trends in this issue and explain how Japanese companies should respond in the rapidly changing international situation.
