[Comment by Professor Tatsuhiko Inatani, Graduate School of Law, Kyoto University (Joint Research Center for Law and Policy)]

"The Center for Joint Research on Legal Policy proposes a legal policy concept that supports the realization of human-centered innovation by engaging in interdisciplinary and international research on cutting-edge legal policy issues in collaboration with theory and practice. It was established at the Graduate School of Law, Kyoto University in April 2021 to promote the development of new academic fields and the training of creative leaders. At the center, Mr. Hideki Takeda, FRONTEO CTO, is a specially appointed professor. We have decided to carry out joint research on "solving legal issues using natural language processing artificial intelligence technology".

If the application of natural language processing artificial intelligence technology can visualize the human network and corporate culture within a company, which was difficult to grasp quantitatively and objectively in the past, it would be possible to conduct theoretical research on corporate misconduct and corporate governance. We can make great progress, and we can expect great progress toward the social implementation of digitalization of compliance activities.

In addition, by considering solutions to various legal issues, including data governance, that may arise in implementing such technologies from both the legal and technical perspectives, we will promote the further social utilization of digital technologies. I think it will open the way.The joint research with Mr. Takeda has great significance for the center's activities to propose practical legal policy ideas by conducting interdisciplinary and international research on cutting-edge legal policy issues. "

These joint researches and lectures will be conducted by utilizing the extremely practical and practical knowledge that FRONTEO has cultivated in international proceedings and fraud investigations.Going forward, we will continue to contribute to the development of new academic fields and the training of creative leaders, and aim to provide services that accelerate the social implementation of digitalization of corporate compliance activities.
