FRONTEO Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Masahiro Morimoto) utilizes the proprietary AI engine "KIBIT" in Nerima-ku, Tokyo (Mayor: Akio Maekawa, hereafter Nerima-ku). In collaboration with the Nerima Ward Child and Family Support Center, we ordered a demonstration experiment to introduce AI into the child and family counseling system operated by the Nerima Ward Child and Family Support Center for the purpose of supporting early detection and early response to child abuse (serious cases). We are announcing that it will be implemented from April 2.

 

In Nerima Ward, the Child and Family Support Center responds to various consultations regarding children and child-rearing families, introduces specialized institutions and services according to the content of the consultation, and makes necessary adjustments.In recent years, the number of consultations with the Child and Family Support Center has been increasing year by year due to childcare discipline, difficulty in raising children, inquiries about consultation history, etc., and the number reached a record high of 30 in FY2018. ..Of these, the number of abuse consultations was as low as 6,402, and although the past trends were almost flat and less than 449%, the total number of abuse consultations for Nerima residents sent to the Tokyo Children's Counseling Center exceeded 1.Currently, in the ever-increasing variety of child guidance, it is required to detect serious cases that are life-threatening for children at an early stage and to provide appropriate and prompt support.

 

In this demonstration experiment, KIBIT will analyze the contents of child records of the "Children's Home Counseling System", which is managed by the Nerima Ward Children's Home Support Center. Among the cases supported by the Nerima Ward Children and Family Support Center, KIBIT analyzes the cases in which the Tokyo Metropolitan Child Guidance Center is requested for temporary protection, and gives a high score in the order of prone to seriousness at an early stage. We support the decision to identify the case that needs to be dealt with.In this demonstration experiment, with the cooperation of the Child Guidance Center in Tokyo, by utilizing KIBIT for the accumulated knowledge of Nerima Ward, we will not overlook cases that may become serious and will respond early. We aim to support quick decision making.
